Music For Well Being
summer specials
As part of my Web Site offerings, I intend to make occasional recommendations about hard-to-find music that I feel is well worth your attention. Here are the first two that fall into that category, These singers are both good friends of mine and fine singers…
Claire Duchesneau asked me to produce her first CD of well-known songs called, “Not Until Today.”
You can listen to her sing and see the list of songs here on her Web site.

Claire has a very unusual story. She writes: “I recorded this CD on very short notice following a diagnosis of cancer. I am hearing-impaired and wear hearing aids in both ears which is a challenge for any singer. My worry was that the chemotherapy might further damage my hearing. So with the co-operation of an exceptional group of people, my voice coach, Barbara Lewis, my recording engineer, George Doxas, and my pianist, Chad Linsley, we set ourselves the enormous task of recording all of the songs in one session. And we did it! While undoubtedly there are flaws, the songs remain what they are, my gift to those I love.”
Beverly McGuire is a long-time professional singer who was the lead-singer for a Canadian celtic group in the 90s. She recorded this CD when she “went solo” after the group disbanded.
Songs from the CD are often heard on radio. A well-known Celtic singer in Eastern Canada and the U.S., Beverly has been widely praised for her healing, and uplifting
“voice of an angel.” An unique recording, her CD is sung in Irish Gaelic.
