We are musicians. Our original songs come to Hélène (vocals, guitars, keys) as words and melody. Often, they explain a recent experience; sometimes, they hint at what is to come. The basics are then brought to Zhan (bass and vocals) and Katie (percussion, vocals and string instruments). In our "kitchen-studio", we stir up rhythms, chords and other "spices", which may or may not include Latin rhythms, African ragas, Quebec and Celtic folk strains, and/or blues and jazz influences. Because the words and melody are the basic ingredients, each finished piece takes on the flavour most evocative of what wants to be expressed.

     Our music makes us laugh, cry, think - and sometimes moves us to do something about our lives, our community, our world.

     Currently, we're working on a CD. Tentatively entitled "Rainbow Warrior, adventures on the Right Red Road", it features songs that were born out of experiences Hélène shared with some of Canada's Native People. We're also preparing a concert in Montreal. We'll let you know more so you can come share the spirit if you're in the neighbourhood then.
