As leaves are unfolding and colours are born
Birds softly whisper a strange kind of song
Feet moving slowly, my heart beating strong
Mist gently rising, eyes open wide

Burning like fire, petals of red
Open, alluring with needs to be fed
I kneel to its beauty with arms open wide
Breathless and shaking, it takes me inside.
Mist swirling slowly caught in your tide

I listen with wonder as new songs intone
Pulling me inward to places unknown
Songs speaking passion, songs filled with light
Songs that can lift me to a tense inner flight
Mist now has vanished I’m calm and clear-eyed
